Ingredients

  • 1 lb Boldly Tuna* Sashimi
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha sauce (optional)
  • 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Avocado, cucumber, or other toppings (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish
  • Wonton crisps or tortilla chips, for serving

Instructions

  • 1.

Thaw Boldly Tuna* Sashimi in the fridge overnight (approx. 8 hours).

  • 2.

Once thawed, press the Tuna* Sashimi with a firm amount of pressure to release the excess water before slicing. (This can be done with a tofu press or cutting board with manual pressure.)

  • 3.

Cut the Tuna* into small, uniform cubes and place them in a bowl.

  • 4.

In a separate small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, Sriracha (if using), grated ginger, and a pinch of salt and pepper.

  • 5.

Pour the dressing over the cubed Tuna* and gently toss to coat evenly. Be careful not to over-mix, as you want to preserve the texture of the Tuna*.

  • 6.

Add the sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds to the bowl and gently mix them with the Tuna*.

  • 7.

Taste the tartare and adjust the seasoning if necessary. You can add more soy sauce, sesame oil, or Sriracha according to your preference.

  • 8.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

  • 9.

Once chilled, remove the Tuna* Tartare from the refrigerator. If desired, you can add additional toppings such as sliced avocado or cucumber.

  • 10.

Serve the Boldly Tuna* Tartare on individual plates or bowls, garnished with more green onions or sesame seeds, fresh parsley, and Sriracha sauce if desired. Accompany it with wonton crisps or tortilla chips for scooping. Enjoy!
